Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker DVR (C1550WF) Review
Good These are disguised as Creative D80 blue tooth speakers. Video quality is good and it's simple to setup.
Bad The speakers are larger than my preferred size. Memory card slot cover stands out a bit.
Summary It's easy to setup and the video quality is excellent. You can easily setup everything using the EZ-SEE app for iOS or Android.
The Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker is a hidden camera disguised as normal blue tooth speakers. The speakers are branded as Creative D80 wireless Bluetooth speakers so it’s impossible to tell that it’s actually a hidden camera.
When I opened up the packaging for the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker, I got shocked for a second. I was wondering if they sent me the wrong hidden camera speakers to review. Why? The speakers were labeled as Creative D80 wireless Bluetooth speakers and it came with instructions on how to setup the creative speakers and a free $10 music credit. After playing with it for a minute and reading the instructions, I found out they were the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker Hidden Camera I was expecting.

The setup is similar to the other Zone Shield or Xtreme Life models so if you’ve setup one of those before, you won’t have any problems with setting up the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker. This makes it easy to add additional cameras to your setup.
The first thing you will need to do is to insert your memory card into the memory card slot. Once that’s done, download the EZ-SEE app which is free for iOS or Android. All of the camera settings will be setup using this app.
Once the app is installed, all you need to do is to scan the QR code given to you to add the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker. After that, just setup your Wi-Fi network by entering your password.
Easy right? This is one of the easier hidden cameras I’ve had to setup.
After the initial settings, you should play with the other advance settings such as parameters and alert settings.
The parameters settings allows you to change the frame rate, resolution, motion post recording, storage mode, LED indicator, recording audio and buzzer options.
I recommend taking your time and playing with the settings to take advantage of the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker.
They pretty much just took some Creative D80 speakers and installed a hidden camera inside. The Bluetooth speakers are a bit larger than I like though. The dimensions are 4.72 inches x 15.6 inches x 5.04 inches. It’s not really a big deal but I would prefer it to be smaller in size.
This is the front of the hidden camera. The camera is well hidden in the front of the speakers.
This is the back of the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker hidden camera. Do you see the black cover on the right side sticking out? This is where your memory card goes into.I feel like the memory card cover stands out more than it should.
Overall, there’s nothing special about the design. Just a hidden camera inside the Creative D80 blue tooth speakers.
The quality on the Zone Shield Wi-Fi Blue Tooth Speaker records in 1280×720 recording resolution with H.264 video compression so the quality is good. The video below by kjb security shows the hidden camera in action.
I like that these are real Creative D80 blue tooth speakers with a hidden camera inside as the Creative brand is known by many. No one would even think that these speakers have a hidden camera installed inside. The blue tooth speakers work so you can use it to play music if you wish. The sound on this blue tooth speaker aren’t impressive though but it doesn’t matter since you’re buying it for the hidden camera features.
The design is simple so there’s nothing special about it. It’s great that they took a known product and converted it into a hidden camera. I wish they would’ve done something better about the black memory card cover since it’s standing out more than it should. I guess no one would go looking at the back of your blue tooth speakers so it’s not a big deal.
This is a WiFi hidden camera which means you will be able to check in on your cameras at anytime and anywhere.
Overall, It’s a nice hidden camera and the video quality is good with a ton of features.
